VIP group for chipsounds owners

There is a new user group for verified chipsounds owners. Only members of this new group will get access to updates, skins, presets and other goodies that are otherwise hidden.

To become a member of this VIP group, follow these steps:

1. Go to User Control Panel > Profile

2. Fill out the new field called "chipsounds Order Number". This is the order number from share-it. You can find this number in the receipt emailed from share-it with subject "License Key for "chipsounds" (share-it! order number: xxxxxxx)".

3. Submit

4. Go to User Control Panel > Usergroups

5. Select "chipsounds".

6. Before clicking Submit verify the following requirements or else your request will be refused:

- The "chipsounds Order Number" has been properly filled in your profile.
- The email address linked to your Forum's account matches the one used on Share-It for purchasing chipsounds. If you can't use the same email address, you will have to fill the First Name and Last Name field with the one used for the purchase.

7. Submit

This is an example of hidden info that only VIP members can see :

Hidden text. None of the groups you are a member of have been granted access.

Non-Members will read: Hidden text. None of the groups you are a member of have been granted access.
Members will read : Yes! I am a VIP member

i signed up for the chipsounds usergroup, but i have no idea where to go to get updates, etc.

what if people don't know anything about this usergroup nonsense. some of us just make music, not spend endless hours chatting on the internet.

i've now been accepted, but don't know where the "usergroup" is. is it just threads available in the regular forum?

this is just a really convoluted system. what's wrong with just having a download section next to the bidule downloads?

Because we dont only want to only offer "updates". We want legit users to have access to presets and other stuff and discuss them in the forum itself. The chipsounds usergroup merly "unhides" the URLS posted in some chipsounds posts for its members.

In the future, chipsounds updates will be available to everyone, just like Bidule and
unlocked only to legit users. (otherwise it will just be a 15 minute demo).

However the presets, editors and misc stuff will only be available to users who are "tagged" with the chipsounds group.

Hello, I just suscribed to the board today. During the subscroption process, my Chipsound user number was asked, it's in the the control pannel but I don't think my status was changed because I still can't see some of the links in the forum. Do I have to wait for a second approval?

I'm having the same issue, I have applied the share-it! code and I can't see the respected 'hidden message', I'm assuming it's because I just registered.

i did everything as explained above but i can't see any hidden threads. i suppose i have to wait someone to add me manually?
