Bidule VST/AU v0.9 (registered users only)

Postby davidv » Wed Oct 19, 2005 10:40 am

Hello.

We've just updated the both the standalone and the plugin versions of v0.9.
This time its available through the normal download section of the web site.

Please post any issues related to the plugin versions in this thread.

Known Issues:
-------------------------------------------------------------

- Key Shortcuts dont work in all hosts yet.

- PDC (Plugin Delay Compensation) is required if host doesn't provide power of two buffersize (just make sure your host does 128,256 or 512) and you shouldn't worry.

- OS X : mouse click events don't work in Cocoa hosts on 10.3.x

- OS X : plugin won't pass AU Validation if you're not a registered user

You mean these?
http://plogue.com/bidule/PlogueBiduleVSTMulti.zip
this zip contains the 4 other plugins (16/32 - fx/inst).

ALL: please download only if your host supports multichannel plugins and
that you feel you _really_ need them.

We might create a form of proxy DLL in the future instead, but in the mean time thats a huge download.

Bidule (v0.9) reports several "duplicate IDs" when it finds the new bidule plugin versions.

And you don't have duplicate files? (i.e. same files in different directories)

That's right. Forgot to remove the old ones.

Still, once these are removed I still get:
Duplicate ID : PLGL (C:\......\Vstplugins\PlogueBiduleVSTMulti\PlogueBiduleVSTi_16.dll )

Does the Battery problem also occurs with other VSTs?

The latest version of Battery is v2.1 (not saying you should upgrade) so I don't think I can get a demo of v1.3.2

Could you redownload the PC Vst plugins and run this: http://plogue.com/bidule/PlogueBiduleVST_extractor.exe
in the same directory where you've extracted PlogueBiduleVST.dll?
(please delete all older dlls beforehand)

Using Bidule AU on Mac with Logic I get crashes which are more or less reproducible if I close and re-open the Bidule AU window. It seems to be related with mouse movement while opening. Below are two crash logs.

From the crash log and your description, it looks like the code I added to make the mouse works in Live when other windows are opened and also
make the mouse works in Tracktion v1.6 is conflicting. You have the latest
(i.e. the one downloadable from the main site since yesterday) version, right?

I did made some changes sometimes between adding the code and
yesterday because I actually stumble into the same thing but I guess the new
code doesn't handle what's happening in Logic 6.4 (and others?)
