Order of paramters vs. Order of gui controls

It would be nice if there was another layer of abstraction so you could insert and remove parameters without updating all the references.

Of course I can add that in, when staring a plugin from scratch, but it's a pain if you didn't start out that way and want to add one control in the middle of 15 others!
