Re: new user - interface issues

For anyone getting this (at least on 10.12), does turning off the tips (either from unchecking when it shows up or through the Preferences) make the issue disappear the next time Bidule is launched?

Re: Looper -> Number of beats adjustment -> crash

Looking at the crash log, this looks like a potential memory issue as the crash actually happens when trying to display the newly changed value of number of beats into the audio file looper status bar. I made a few runs with different audio files and changing the number of beats and it did not happe...

Re: OSC Monitor causes hang

Looking at the sample.txt file, it seems to spend all of its time adding incoming messages to the textbox.
How many messages are coming in?

Re: Looper -> Number of beats adjustment -> crash

Windows or OS X? 32 or 64-bit? Does this seem to be related to the loaded file?

If it's on OS X, could you send the crash logs?

Re: OSC Monitor causes hang

Could you Sample when this happens? Seems to be working fine here in 64-bit on 10.11.x
(Activity Monitor, double click on Plogue Bidule, Sample button on the lower left)

Re: MIDI file recorder speed

Is it me or there's no audio device in the second instance?

Timing would definitely be very different in that case as the best clock source available is an audio driver callback.

Re: MIDI file recorder speed

It's using the same format as the sync transport: measure.beat.fraction The time is counted from first pressing record until stopping, it's not triggered by receiving the first event. The actual updating of that string value and then the display on screen is done in idle time on the UI thread. Havin...

Re: MIDI file recorder speed

The time elapsed in the MIDI File Recorder is in ppq, if there's no sync it will assume 120bpm.

The rate at which its display is updated depends on your sample rate and buffer size setting.

Re: Audio Units

- midi learn - how does it differ from the stand alone? You'll need to have a MIDI CC To Params in your layout and connect the MIDI output of Bidule Plugin to it. - automation in Logic - just comes up as a giant list of parameters. How do I name / link these up to specific controls? In the Paramete...

Re: IConnect Audio 4+

Is it possible that the issue only occurs if
a) the IConnect is connected to the computer
and
b) there is nothing else (not a second computer or an iOS device) connected to the second port

?

Re: running bidule from outside the app folder

_ is definitely not a problem. where it might come into play is with certain chars from the ISO Latin set and others that are Unicode only. As an example, If I copy the .app and folders into a folder named •, after a quick run through, the only things that seem to not be working is manually loading/...

Re: IConnect Audio 4+

No one ever sent me a bidule.log file with the issue occurring no matter how many times I requested one.
I would like to see one before considering having to buy one only for debugging.

Re: user groups

If you have specific files not showing up, you could run Scan groups and then send the bidule_x64.log files along with
groups.cache and groupsfilelist.cache all in ~/Library/Application Support/Plogue/Bidule/

Re: running bidule from outside the app folder

There's no problem with having outside the app folder (you will lose some of the bundled groups if you don't have the groups folder alongside the .app). However giving that you are mentioning your Dropbox folder where you had midi files not loading, did the path to Bidule any • ? The problem with th...
