Polyphonic Adapter with non-Bidule VSTi

If one were to compile a standard VST 2.4 monophonic VSTi with a second output pin that would = 1 while a note is ON (ADSR active) and = 0 when the note is finished or OFF, wrap it in a Bidule group and link this extra pin to out pin two of the group, could it be used with Bidule's Polyphonic Adapte...

Re: Status of Sysex in 2014: still unsupported?

Are you sure Ctrlr wouldn't work? You can get pretty creative and deep with the Lua scripting and slow the transmission of messages to avoid buggering the synth. Though I'm sure you have a better idea of your use case :) Sorry if I didn't follow up, but Ctrlr is acrtually perfect for what I need to...

Re: Status of Sysex in 2014: still unsupported?

Ctrlr might fit the bill Thanks! Forgot about Ctrlr; I played with it for a while last year It still wouldn't give me access to some of the stuff I need Bidule for. I'm not sure why sysex is a big deal with Bidule, but I suspect it has to do with managing interactive sysex messaging and suspending ...

Status of Sysex in 2014: still unsupported?

The last post on the subject from nov 2013 says it's unsupported. I assume this hasn't changed in the interim? I'm looking to build a simple setup to send short specific sysex messages to alter the behavior of some hardware. I can do this with Bome's MIDI Translator, but some of the functionality I ...

Re: Wordpress site with some groups to share

Just been catching up this morning and saw this! Thanks for this nice resource and for your generosity in sharing it, jersmi! Simply awesome! It would be nice to see something like this for the SDK; there's no archive for it and looking for SDK examples is like going on a treasure hunt; the SDK foru...

VST ADT for Satin users

I wasn't on the market for Waves' recent ADT plugin, but I was interested enough to create my own in Bidule using U-he's Satin. You'll only be able to use this layout If you have Satin, of course. It's meant to be instantiated as a VST plugin , so if you're using it in Bidule, instantiate the Bidule...

Thanks seb. For the record, that info can be found in this post.

Re: VST PDC: how do I create PDC for my own layout?

BTW: there's a problem resizing the VST Bidule workspace. It seem to be fixed to its default size.

Re: VST PDC: how do I create PDC for my own layout?

Ok, figured it out... but it doesn't seem to work when hosting VST Bidule within the host Bidule. I also need a clarification on the latency vs the tail.

I'm trying to set up VST layouts to work with PDC within Bidule before using them in other hosts. Seems logical...

VST PDC: how do I create PDC for my own layout?

Can I create my own PDC in a layout for use in the Bidle VST plugin to compensate for delays I want to purposely introduce in my layout? TIA!

Re: choices

Brilliant! Love those snipits! Finding example code is like mining for gold around here. Thanks for the quick reply. It works perfectly now. Actually, what's really cool about working with the SDK is that's it's making me remember how C++ is structured. It's kind of funny to feel lig...

Re: choices

I'm trying to set up two parameters with GUICTRL_CHOICE. Is getParameterChoices(long id, std::vector<std::string>& vec) still functioning as described in this thread? I can't seem to get it to work with a second parameter without crashing Bidule.

Re: latches

Are SDK plugins not usable by non-SDK user? They can be built so they don't need the runtimes. But I agree that these should be available across all versions of Bidule. I've also encountered situations where I had to find workarounds where something this simple would have worked. Like other missing ...

SDK Build Parameter-Change Uptake Issue

I'm not sure if this is actually a bug, or the way things work with Bidule. For convenience, I have VS2013 building dlls building directly into the Bidule plugin folder and I've set up Bidule to load up with a default layout using the dll I'm working on. I was working with GUI Parameters and the cha...

Re: latches

I'm curious: could you clarify what you mean? Are you talking about a plugin with a trigger or sample input that would toggle 2 outputs: 0 to 1, and inversely on the other? Or a trigger or sample input that would generate triggers alternately from two outputs? Seems to me that In either case, with b...
