Re: Bidule VST/MultiClient MIDI Ports

I'd rather implement having multiple "users" of the same MIDI input/output device.

Me too.

Re: Bidule VST/MultiClient MIDI Ports

So, if I understand, this is related to the instance names of loaded VST's as seen by the host (Live)? Would you consider providing a tool that would allow us to change the embedded instance name of any number of copies of the .dll we create in the VST fiolder? So I have: bidule1.dll Bidule2.dll bid...

Bidule VST/MultiClient MIDI Ports

Hi, sorry for the vague subject. MIDIYoke virtual ports are multi-client in windows, at least. IE, MIDIYOKE4, for example, can be shared/accessed by multiple apps. I can open two instances of Bidule standalone, and select MIDIYOKE4 as an input in both. HOWEVER- If I load Bidule as a VST in Ableton o...

VC++ Runtime Library Error R6034-Solved

XP SP3, 32bit I gather that this is a somewhat generic error. I've been installing/uninstalling s/w on this laptop. It's difficult to say at what point this became an issue since I wasn't trying to start bidule at every change. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? I temporarily remo...

Re: Zoom and/or Resize the VST Version?

No scroll wheel on the laptop, but the other shortcuts don't work.

Is there any insurmountable technical obstacle to having a resizable window for the bidule plugin?

Zoom and/or Resize the VST Version?

Using Bidule as a VST in Ableton host on a laptop. A rather large layout that was created on a desktop pc w/ a large monitor is much too large to fit within the default Bidule window size when hosted in Ableton on a laptop screen. How can the plugin window be resized, or zoomed out in order to get a...

Re: Move Groups, Layouts, etc. to Network Drive

Thanks, Seb

I'm on Windows. So I am correct that there is no hidden preference/cfg/ini/registry, etc. item to explicitly specify the folder locations?

In that case, are you suggesting that the actual local Presets folder be deleted & replaced w/ a shortcut to the desired Presets folder?

Move Groups, Layouts, etc. to Network Drive

Hi, I haven't found any way to change the default locations for Presets, Layouts, Groups, etc. to a location other than the installation directory. The need is from having Bidule installed on a number of machines and not wanting to have to mirror/replicate folders across these machines in order to s...

Re: Bidule stops seeing MIDIYoke as multi-client?

I think so, but I'll have to wait until it fails again to test. Hopefully not in the middle of tomorrow night's concert :-) It's critical to be able to use these shared ports between Live and Bidule, and multiple instances of bidule, since there are so many absurdities about the way live routes/mang...

Bidule stops seeing MIDIYoke as multi-client?

Not sure who the culprit is here. The players are Bidule, Ableton, MIDIYoke and MIDI-Ox. Thing will be working fine, then at some point when I open a previously working Live set with bidule as a device on a track, I open up the Bidule ui and see a MIDIYoke input in red, and no data is being received...

Re: MIDI Matrix Not Passing Data

Not sure I completely follow. Is the problem w/ the Matrix itself, or the fact that my group does not have an audio out that terminates in an audio device? Would it be enough to simply add an unused audio out to my group and run that to the Bidule Plugin audio out, or would I need to have an audio/M...

Re: MIDI Matrix Not Passing Data

Yes, in the case of Bidule as a VST in Ableton, the output goes to "Bidule Plugin" back out to the Live track, in the standalone case, it goes to either a MIDIYoke port or a MIDI h/w port.

Is there a workaround that I can trust?

MIDI Matrix Not Passing Data

I hesitate to post this because most "bugs" are user error, but this one really has me stumped... I have tried this in both standalone & vst Bidule, PC version. I can load this group in a new empty patchbay, feed it with midi input containing any data, plus at least one cc on a momenta...
