Not yet, hoped I could get confirmation from other sources. The guy over at LPH thinks it has to do with Control Surfaces. I'm not at the office on the weekend so I can't test that. Still seems strange to me.

Re: Note velocity change triggers keyswitch problem (Logic)

I tried with Alchemy's Epic synth preset, and it plays an insanely low G-2 note.

EDIT
I just made a screencast displaying Logic's behavior using only Snoize MIDI monitor.

Hi Eric, can you reproduce this behaviour with another software instrument inserted?

In my screenshot, it is Bidule AU as an instrument, using its MIDI Monitor to detect the incoming messages.

No prob. I'll be checking what's going on over there as well, I'm really curious of what others will find out.

Re: Note velocity change triggers keyswitch problem (Logic)

Well, mc_deli, It looks like you've found a bug in Logic Pro X 10.3.1. Moving the velocity handles somehow triggers MIDI note G0 (or G-2 depending on the naming scheme used), which is out of the musical range, but right where the keyswitches are located. This is definitely coming from Logic 10.3.1 a...

Re: Note velocity change triggers keyswitch problem (Logic)

Hi, Trying to replicate the issue here quickly doesn't yield the result. But it looks to me like the dragging motion with the mouse triggers the lowest notes on the Piano roll, where the keyswitches are located. Have you tried using the velocity slider on the left, if it does the same thing? Cheers

Re: Create Custom VoiceBank

Hi,

Thanks! You can always send us your ideas through the contact form here.

But bear in mind that we have no resource that can be assigned to voice bank development other than what's currently being done at this time.
So don't hold your breath :)

Re: Width on CC

Since the range of width goes from -100/100,

the range of your cc must span 200. Here's how I got it to work :

Code: Select all

<control>
set_hdcc107=1

<master>
width=-100 //set a basis before modulation
width_oncc107=200

And the default linear curve is all you need :)

Re: trigger=release velocity tracking

Hi, It's still a pretty busy sfz to troubleshoot. :wink: What I guess from this is that you want velocity for key release, which you seem to be doing with "amplitude_oncc131" at the <master> level. When I simplify to the extreme, it seems to work. <master> amplitude_oncc131=100 amplitude_c...

Re: CC#7 and CC#11 not the same?

Why by design? It would have been very convenient to be able to adjust volume and timbre with a single controller. I can imagine though that once that decision is made, it could be a major effort to change it. I won't get in the details here, but yes, it would be nearly impossible to change it now....

Re: CC#7 and CC#11 not the same?

pbattersby, You caught a nasty one! Thank you for that! We will fix the freeze with the next update. OTOH, you won't be able to use the same CC number for xfade and amplitude. By design, these parameters cannot be modulated by the same CC. Ever. :( If you try with the next update, you will get en er...

Re: CC#7 and CC#11 not the same?

Hi,

The CC11 expression is a General midi convention, but it's not automatically applied in sforzando. You can manually implement that in your sfz files, I'd use: amplitude_oncc11=100

Re: Using Sforzando as plug-in in Max for Live

The snapshots are mine. They are saved in a vst~ plugin (with Sforzando) in a M4L patch. They appear in the Live tracks, but when I select the snapshots in the tracks and save the Live set, the next time I open the set the snapshot-seletion(s) are not saved. At this moment I try your Sforzatron sol...

Re: Using Sforzando as plug-in in Max for Live

For now I use Sforzando in a Live Set in 8 tracks. Therefore I created a M4L instrument with the Sforzando (AU) plug-in with 8 snapshots, and use a different snapshot (and .sf2-file) for every track. This works, but the snapshot settings are not saved when you save the Live Set. So everytime you op...
