Re: Crossfading betwwen layers of dynamics

Thank you very much for your suggestions! Right now, I am using "volume" in the regions to fine tune the samples. If I add volume_oncc1, will this mess up with the region specified volume values? volume_onccX=Y adds (or removes) to volume=Z it in dB values. Is this amplitude_oncc with xfa...

Yeah I didn't implement _everything_ really a pandora's box. or rats nest.

Thanks for the report!
I'll update the mac build and make a full release soon.

Re: Incorrect SF2 Import Result

Ok loop_point_issue_sf2 : was my bad. Wow, a near 10 year old bug! blank_region_issue_sf2: The file contains 5 zones with only 4 of them being present in the IGEN chunk. I don't know if that's legal or not, or if our parsing of the structure is wrong, but in any case I added a band aid so that does ...

Re: Incorrect SF2 Import Result

Hello

Our sf2 converter converts tons of sf2 out there and its the first report of such.
Looking at the SF2 file, they seem to be generated by polyphone, which oddly should support SFZ as well.

Looking into it...

Re: Help with Sforzando

Hello The standalone (32/64) sofrzando exe is really only meant for .. standalone work, it has the same feature as its plugin counterpart minus the midi file playback and audio recording both of which we consider 'extra's. The noises you are hearing are possibly due to a driver not meant for audio w...

Re: Crossfading betwwen layers of dynamics

Ah sorry about this, seems like I've fixed this crash in 1.916 You can get the update of the ARIA engine itself (which will update the one in sforzando) http://ariaengine.com/support/aria-engine-update/ Hum right now its not possible. You can experiment with volume_oncc1 combined with xfade though. ...

Re: Will Alter/Ego have custom voice banks because of Lyrebird?

Wow! I never knew these guys were somehow related to Plogue. Anyway, despite the ethics of possible misuse (we can always have ways to detect fake voices from real, plus mention it up front), perhaps it will still be possible, because imagine a fictional character from a TV show singing or covering...

Re: Crossfading betwwen layers of dynamics

Hi Could you make a minimal SFZ file that crashes and send it to us? We are aware of the issue (there is actually a limit that makes it impossible to use xfin_xxcc and amplitude_oncc on the same cc) However it should not crash but say "Internal XFIN_CC clash on:1" with something like this:...

Re: Will Alter/Ego have custom voice banks because of Lyrebird?

Recently, I heard about the voice copying technology called Lyrebird (lyrebird.ai). The early beta seems promising, and they are still working on the API, but I wonder theoretically, if I could feed the voices generated by Lyrebird and create a custom voice bank for Alter/Ego? Imagine famous singer...

Hi
You need to edit the file and remove what is in it, not remove/rename the file itself.

Re: WAVE setting not saved - DMG (Unlimited) - FL Studio 12.5

Wondering if FL sends program change=0 or NOTE On 0 upon start. This might explain this. Would need to investigate. To test the former (and probably most logical explanation). If you do not use program changes, you can try by removing the Program Changes to KS logic, by editing {install dir}/progra...

Re: Multiple instances Sforzando VST?

Oh also, what in this case is the "appropriate version"? Same bit-ness is what I meant. Have a look at each sforzando's settings tab and watch over RAM resources on multiple instances. Load one instance, fill it with a huge sample lib. Load ANOTHER instance, check its RAM TOTAL setting, i...

Re: mod wheel controlling multiple parameters?

The same CC can be used for many targets. I don't recall anything in the spec that forbids this.
Then again, I'm not responsible on how people implement their SFZ players ;)

Re: Multiple instances Sforzando VST?

Hi there, I just created an account and am new with Sforzando, so not sure if this question is about ARIA engine or Sforzando... apologies if it's in the wrong forum. I came across an old post elsewhere that was hinting at the fact that multiple instances of Sforzando can share memory if triggering...
