Re: Relative midi parameters

On reading your original post again, have a look at the layout I posted. If it doesn't work, back to the question, what midi data is your knob sending. Once you know that, you should be able to get something to work with Bidule relative modulators.

Re: Relative midi parameters

NTO beat me to it -- using CineMix sounds more approachable than my first go using built in bidules, which might take a lot more work to make it useful.... anyway, maybe something to learn from my feeble attempt. Cool, NTO!

Re: Relative midi parameters

I can see inside Logic Pro that the Novation Nocturn´s knob is sending a 1 33 0-127 message as I work it. So I'm guessing this is a CC message? If your controller has relative knobs, you'll have to figure out what rel CC type. In order to see incoming midi in Bidule, you need to load your Novation ...

Discrete Counter like Accum

A counter group with inputs set up like Accum. Uses the discrete Counter + Activity for behavior like TriggerClock, and a recursive function to count triggers. Includes formulas for loop and mirror. Re: Discrete Matrix problem

Ok, thanks for this clarification. I always think I pretty much get it, then I forget some basic concept.... I'm really not trying to get discretes to behave like audio bidules.... :) So.... for example, if I want to set up a discrete matrix as an input/output selector AND have the currently selecte...

Re: Discrete Matrix problem

One "problem" I see straight off with the pictured solution is that the matrix stores a value in its input and only updates when that value changes. This potentially could use the wrong (old) value. EDIT: here's the test setup (paste to Bidule): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="...

Re: Discrete Matrix problem

Revised solution (not thoroughly tested): Screen Shot 2018-01-11 at 10.29.33 AM copy.png The general confusion for me with the discretes always seems to revolve around "event flow". Is it a FR to have some way to force an event through a signal chain to make sure data processes? The Activi...

Re: Discrete Matrix problem

Thanks Seb, Happy New Year. Is is possible that the value changes where made when there's no X? If I manually change the related constant when the preset for the pair is the current one, I can the value appear in the Monitor as well as changing the value display. Yep, I have the Binary Logic decidin...

Discrete Matrix problem

Trying the discrete matrix with a logic gate set up I thought should work, but it's not. Test layout pictured -- why is the matrix not outputting anything to the monitors? Sending a counter through the matrix works as expected. Screen Shot 2018-01-09 at 8.23.30 AM copy.png (Paste code to Bidule layo...

Re: MIDI experts please help: supress notes after a first event

Interesting approach, NTO. :) Late to the game, but I've run into this issue before of having to "thin out" incoming notes. Dug this one up using the Midi Time Delta building block. Also has a Velocity Threshold, might be useful for this post. (I did not rigorously test this....) Screen Sh...

Re: Converting ''Mixer'' or ''Gain'' fader's readout to be a parameter

I guess the answer lies in this part of the chain: Nyrv Agent (Main Gui)- - -> Bidule (Inside Agent)- - -> Vst (Nebula Inside Bidule)- - -> In Bidule, when you hook up a a midi monitor to the Nyrv Agent device, what do you see? What type of data / midi message / range? Likewise in Bidule, how do you...

Re: Converting ''Mixer'' or ''Gain'' fader's readout to be a parameter

dts350z's solution would bypass the need for parameter linking, but if you do need it for some reason, this should work -- Use a Variable and set its min/max to whatever scaling you want in dB (like -12 and 12). Connect to a Unit Converter set to 'dB to linear'. Connect to a Parameter Modulator (abs...

Hi Diego -- willing to help, what does your controller send to Bidule (using one of Bidule's midi monitors)?

Re: Tap Tempo Revisited

NTO -- um, what you are chasing here? If this tap tempo group looks over-complicated, it's probably because I was confused and couldn't spot the solution through my trials and errors....

EDIT: Though on second look, seems everything should work as advertized in v1.2....
