Re: Bidule GUI Size Settings

And when i try to change the TopFrame values by hand with Xcode, for some reason it ignores the new values That would most likely be related to cfprefsd which caches read preferences plist and will only update its caches for changes made through the Prefs API (and the use of the defaults command-li...

Re: Bidule GUI Size Settings

ok that's weird. I don't think it is a permissions issue, if it was nothing would be read/written into that plist. What could be a good test would be to resize, manually save a .bidule (what's loaded inside doesn't matter) and then quit, if when restarting it is still the wrong size then having the ...

Re: Bidule problem with RME FF400

Are you always using the same mixer config in the Fireface driver app? I do not know if this applies to all RME devices, but that was one thing I noticed when I had one to use for tests, active inputs/outputs would change from that config.

Re: Bidule GUI Size Settings

That would be the entries TopFrame.h and TopFrame.w . If you remove them, it will go back to the defaults. Also, width+height will be saved in a layout so if you are always opening the same layout on starting it could be in there too. In any case, the main window size is always saved upon exiting so...

Re: Discrete Matrix problem

The discrete matrix does not store any discrete events. It lets any incoming discrete event(s) go through if there the i/o pair is "opened" otherwise the event(s) just end up "going to /dev/null". The point of the discrete signal is to only "do stuff" when there's an &q...

Re: Discrete Matrix problem

The Discrete constant will only output something when there's a value change (starting playback from scratch counts as a value change). The Discrete Matrix will only pass discrete events if there's an incoming event on an input that is sent to an actual output (i.e. where there's a X for that pair i...

Re: Are fractional sample trigger periods possible?

It's read as an integer in Trigger Clock, everywhere else triggers occurs when a sample is 1 on the input signal. Having fractional would require changing all cases so that if sample is between 0 and 1, check if next sample "completes" the trigger signal, all that to actually delay the tri...

Re: Is there a way to play system sounds with Bidule?

I don't know if the same for all RME interfaces but there is a mixer application that comes with the driver where it's possible to route outputs to inputs so that you can set up let's say output channels 15 and 16 to going to input channels 7 and 8 and then you would need to set up the application t...

Re: Recreatable crash

Is there a correlation between this problem and the fact that there isn't a '5 outs' option in the VST submenu? No, it really looks like the pianoteq6 vst always expects to get 5 buffers to write audio output and crashes if not present, setting up fake buffers pointing to the existing ones to fit 5...

Re: Recreatable crash

Could you check if the layout behaves any better for you if you switch the Pianoteq instance from the 2 outputs version to the default ins defaults outs one? The crash in Pianoteq seems to be related to the VST expecting to get 5 pointers/buffers to use for output whatever the number of outputs it d...

Ok, one crash log has more information. I'll check if I can make any sense of what might be happening with the layout.

Re: Tabbing between fields broken?

Way deep in my memory drawer, I seem to recall having to change code to help with focus+tab, my first thought would be that the spin boxes haven't been changed and that would most likely be why the group properties dialog doesn't work with that.

Re: "Set value" & "Reset to default value" context menu doesn't work with sliders

I need to debug deeper but it looks like ctrl-click menu popping ends up with the mouse event being seen (or sent) as a regular click event meaning that the default value is set/update the gui is sent but a slider value has been set to x (i.e. the same as it was) is triggered as well thus overriding...

Re: 0.9754 disk image error message (OSX)

Do you remember seeing the dialog about opening an application downloaded from the internet or not? Yes, there has been a release where the unsigned dmg file was uploaded instead of the signed one so that everyone would get that issue, otherwise it is double-checked on uploaded files. The cmd-i dial...
