Re: Using Sforzando as plug-in in Max for Live

The snapshots are mine. They are saved in a vst~ plugin (with Sforzando) in a M4L patch. They appear in the Live tracks, but when I select the snapshots in the tracks and save the Live set, the next time I open the set the snapshot-seletion(s) are not saved. At this moment I try your Sforzatron sol...

Re: Using Sforzando as plug-in in Max for Live

For now I use Sforzando in a Live Set in 8 tracks. Therefore I created a M4L instrument with the Sforzando (AU) plug-in with 8 snapshots, and use a different snapshot (and .sf2-file) for every track. This works, but the snapshot settings are not saved when you save the Live Set. So everytime you op...

Re: Using Sforzando as plug-in in Max for Live

The Instrument menu doesn't respond to external control. It's just a File menu. Unless chosen through master presets (*.ariax), it's just a click-and-choose affair. Since sforzando responds well to MIDI CC messages, you could make a meta-sfz which loads sub sfz files through CC, such as in sforzatro...

Re: Cutoff/Decay, EMU, Mac, Yamaha

Usually, the simplest works best: Notepad, TextEdit... you just have to manually save them as *.sfz

Re: Cutoff/Decay, EMU, Mac, Yamaha

So, no simple solution of a software 'knob' to control the decay time? The simplest solution would be to open every sfz file in a text editor and add (or replace) something like the following in the appropriate section(s): ampeg_decay=0 ampeg_decay_oncc75=5 That way, a new control would show up on ...

Yeah, they are ARIA converted (through sforzando) .sfz files.

Do you mean those were the soundfont (sf2) versions to begin with?

Re: Sforzando running on Linux through WINE

It was at that moment that I discovered Sforzando and, really, it is the best piece of music production software that I used in my life. I thank the developers for the immense work and generosity of making it public and free! Thank You! And now the big question for developers: Is there any chance t...

Re: Cutoff/Decay, EMU, Mac, Yamaha

Hi Adam, I may be mistaken, but the sfz versions from DSF (labeled for Dimension IIRC) are simply the mapped samples from the E-MU hardware. The filter/envelope/FX being handled by the ".prog " files (the Dimension preset files). You could very well edit the sfz files adding MIDI CC contro...

Re: UI Unresponsive in Logic 10.3

Hi, We're not able to replicate the issue here. Can you give us more details? Are there MIDI CC/ Parameter automation going on at the same time? Does the power button on the upper left corner goes off when chipsounds goes unresponsive? Maybe sending us a Logic project that displays the issue would h...

Thanks for the screenshots
Reply sent. Thinking that maybe some on-board graphics cards have a hard time handling large interface elements such as this slider (which is "huuuge" underneath, as one would put it ).

Re: Activation On Linux

OK, so I just copied these settings to Aria, and I have sound. No effects, and the sound is very weak. Maybe I need to up the velocity setting. Also, my midi keyboard does not work. But we are getting somewhere! GPO on Linux! Glad you're making progress! Maybe stating the obvious, but most often th...

Re: SMDrums on Sforzando not showing volume sliders

Hi,

Just downloaded and tried it with the latest sforzando (1.911) on Windows 10 and everything shows up fine.

Can you tell us a bit more about your system?

Cheers

Re: Activation On Linux

The other problem if you're having issues with Aria Player's registration:

A license card for Aria Player is normally installed in the program's folder and usually requires no intervention on the user's part.
Maybe that card's location ins't written properly in the registry.
