Bidule as Rewire Slave in Cubase

Postby Micheljarre » Thu Jul 27, 2017 11:05 am

Hi,

I am a newbie to Bidule...

I have Cubase 8.5 Pro and current Bidule standalone (trial) versions, both 64 bit. In addition, I installed ReWire from https://www.propellerheads.se/download/updates_rewire/.

I do not see any Rewire Option in Cubase when starting it.

What did I miss or what did I wrong?

Thank you
micheljarre

I think that the 1.7 posted on the Propellerheads site might be 32-bit only. Look into the ReWire181 subfolder in the folder where Bidule was installed (by default that would be c:\program files\Plogue\Bidule)

Thank you.

I found the subdir "64bit" with the ReWire.dll file.

I copied it to c:\Windows\SysWOW64 (where the version from the Propellerheads site was located) as well as to c:\Windows\system32.

Still I do not see any ReWire option...

What else can I try?

See the readme.txt file in that folder, anything built with a newer version ReWire (that supports 64-bit) does not look there for the files.

Thank you, now it works.

I manually created the folder c:\Program Files\Common Files\Propellerhead Software\ReWire\ and copied the dll there.
