Strange error

Postby EoH » Wed Oct 11, 2017 8:38 am

A friend got an error on a layout that does work on everyones PC.
"Unable to load C:\Program Files\Plogue\Bidule\Layouts\(0)S2S for 44,1 on 1360x768.bidule
attribute 'scaleFactor' is not declared for element "Boardlayout'
Line:2 Col: 142"
Opening the layout in a texteditor gave this line 2 :
"<BoardLayout xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation='Bidule.xsd' offline="true" scaleFactor="1">"

All my layouts have the same line 2 !

Anyone any idea how to fix this or what can be the problem ?

It seems that removing ScaleFactor=1 is the solution. But when removing it, does it have consequences we might not see now ?

If everyone used the latest copy of Bidule this might not happen?
This was added to the .bidule format in January 2015 to support Hi DPI( Retina) Macs.
Any legal reasons not to upgrade I wonder.

Thanks for the answer David.
I don't know if all the people who use one of my layouts, have a legal copy or why they didn't upgrade......

Anyway, if this is the solution, problem solved.
