Merging Windows CLI and SDK plugin?

Postby dts350z » Tue Feb 22, 2011 11:48 pm

I have built a small Windows CLI program that launches and starts a DTS encoder application.

I'm not sure if it makes sense to try to merge that code into a SDK plugin (so it can be triggered when the audio recorder stops), or if a better approach would be make a simple OSC server (with OSCPak) and run it outside of Plogue.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

As long as you don't run in the context of Bidule you should be fine either launch the CLI and forget or send an OSC message.

I'm just going to call CreateProcess from plugin::idle. No waiting or watching the created process.

Seems to work OK.

I'll actually use it run a CLI program that then runs the DTS encoder. That way I can keep the extra stuff needed in the plugin to a minimum.
