Open UI from within plugin

Postby dts350z » Wed Feb 26, 2014 5:20 pm

OK so I have this version check plugin that talks to my webserver and gets the current version of my plugins.

If the version on the web is newer I do this:

Code: Select all

if (Nag == 1) {
      updateParameter(-8, 1);
   }

and the pugin UI pops open to notify the user. That's been working fine, however now (0.9735) I'm noticing that the UI isn't opening. I have the plugin in a group and Open UI is in the group parameters. The check box in the group DOES get checked when the version check is triggered, but the UI doesn't actually open until I uncheck and check the box again. Hope that's clear.

Seems like some PB behavior has changed? No errors in the log file. Maybe the check is happening before PB is ready to open the UI?

FYI I'm doing the call to the version check from parameterUpdate.

Looks like it doesn't open when it's outside of a group either. I know this used to work.

You're doing that on any parameterupdate or a specific one?
(asking so I can do a quick sdk-based plugin only doing that for debugging)
