Brilliant !!!

Postby folkhogskola » Fri Oct 16, 2009 7:11 pm

Thank you so much David.
All the questions I was about to ask have been answered in your three videos. I will be purchasing Chipsound in the morning :D

Where does the download come from when the purchase page has been done ? Or do we get that all explained when the purchase is complete?

Thank you once again for such a well thought out and inspiring piece of software. My NES and midines cartridge can take a well deserved holiday so I don't have to wear them out haha

some great esoteric chips in there looking forward to some more great chips appearing in the future. ( That Sega megadrive fm chip was pretty rad  )

Regards
Tom

Same thing happened to me, haven't touched my old MIDINes 1.1 for a LONG time.

Well there goes my sunday !!

Postby folkhogskola » Mon Oct 19, 2009 7:45 pm

well as mentioned in my previous post to David i got around to purchasing Chipsounds and I can't be happier. I have absolutely had a blast today watching the extra vids that have been put up and got lost making noises sweet and nasty in equal measures with Chipsounds.

I've tried hard to make it go wrong and push it to it's limit and it hasn't missed a beat for me. Ran silly amounts of instances as well using the multitimbral version in Ableton Live and it just kept on being wonderful. I've decided to stick with Tiger on a Macbook (10.4.11 to be exact) and its rock solid incase anyone was wondering as I know a few people were having problems with 10.6

Thank you once again David and all the other names i saw that have put this together. When i get a chance this week i will try and put a video or at least some tracks together so you can see what weirdness I am creating.

Hope everyone on here has a great week ahead of them.

Tom x

I think we could open a "Hardware" sales subforum :) (though I'm keeping my old comp collection :)

Hi, I tried to use Chipsounds as a synthesizer for my guitar MIDI-system and recorded demo video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zd7tWT4TR0Y

Awesome video, Megus! I'm also doing similar stuff using GK gear (Brian Moore 88.13 -> Axon AX100). Too bad you're in Russia, I'd love to jam with you!

Hi. I did mostly using Chipsounds sound effects and music for video mapping. Even crickets, thunder and wind is from chipsounds ;p

Let me know what do you think. It's youtube version. Oryginally it was designed for mapping specific building that's why it uses it's windows etc.

I wouldn't use that one as reference. The drums sounds you hear are not even from chipsounds, but something else in his rig (not see in his video).
A huge WTF moment this morning.

Wow. I checked and WTF for sure. I wish I had known about this before posting this tutorial, I feel kinda dumb. Is this guy really oblivious that these are not the right samples? Surely none of the other presets on his Chipsounds sound like that or have blank key zones.
