How To get samples into 2A03 or User

Postby recursivelament » Mon Dec 14, 2015 10:49 am

Sorry if this is posted elsewhere, but I am having a hard time figuring this out. I know the DMC channel under 2A03 uses samples. What do I need to do to make a compatible sample? What file format/encoding/etc. does it need to be in? What program can I use to convert something to a compatible sample? All I have been able to infer from playing with this was that it should be a .raw file extension. I did look in the user manual and was confused until I saw that the text file its pointing to shows a wrongly spelled folder path (says "program" instead of "program files"). If I have missed something really simple, I apologize. I just need some direction on what I need to do here. Thanks.

Hello

It is sadly not a trivial task and in chipsounds 1.x requires modifying files under
C:\Program Files\Plogue\chipsounds\Data\user
C:\Program Files\Plogue\chipsounds\Programs\09. User\user1.sfz

Source raw files should be 8bit unsigned raw, at around 15kHz.

chipsounds 2 will make this a lots more easy.

Thanks for the info. I guess the files need to be opened in notepad and changed to reflect where my .raw files are? Also how long until version 2 is out?

That is correct.

Things related to 2.0 will be announced early 2016, stay tuned!
