Global LFO

Postby plastedre » Tue Jun 16, 2015 2:53 pm

Hi,

Is there a way to have an LFO which does not start each new key?

So the LFO is independent and it loop in background but it is not retrigger.

Thanks.

Hi plastedre. Welcome to the forums!

I'm afraid LFOs starts with each region triggered. I know, it bugs me too sometimes.

There is a pseudo solution for have a free running LFO.

The hack is to set a random phase when it starts (davidv solution).

SFZ file example :

Code: Select all

<region>
sample=*sine
volume=-6

lfo0_freq=2
lfo0_volume=6

// The trick is here
lfo0_phase_oncc135=1

cc135 being unipolar random between [0;1] in SFZ 2.0.
