Chipsounds 1.6 100% amp mod depth bug in Ableton Live

Postby _ensnare_ » Wed Sep 12, 2012 3:32 pm

Just updated chipsounds to 1.6 and opened some older Live files which had stored patches using the previous version of chipsounds.

Quite a few channels seemed to be silent - on closer inspection the amplitude modulation within chipsounds had somehow been set to 100%.

Not a big deal, as when this is set correctly again and saved the problem doesn't happen again, but thought I'd mention anyway in case people were getting silent tracks and weren't able to track down the reason.

I can't pinpoint anything the "silent" instances of chipsounds have in common at the moment - let me know if there's any way I can help to track this down.

Just to make sure.
did you update from 1.0, 1.03, 1.5 or 1.501?
Mac/Pc?
did you also update ableton live versions between these?

The amp mod was zero or 100% originally? and now? I'm confused.
If you could send us and old live session, the ableton live version number it used, and the chipsounds version it used we would be able to track
if the parameter changed, and if so why....

Thanks
