WASAPI on Windows 7 64bit Issue

Postby tinkertoydethsociety » Fri Sep 13, 2013 11:45 pm

Specs
Windows 7 64 Bit
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3450 CPU @ 3.10GHz, 3501 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
16GB Ram

Interface - Mackie Onyx Blackbird Firewire

When I select in Chipsounds WASAPI - Audio Device Speakers (Onyx FireWire Interface) I receive no sound at all. When I close the program and open it back up it says "Check Preferences. Maybe the current driver doesn't support this sample rate" So once it opens and I go back to preferences the sample rate tab is blank with nothing in the drop down box.

Any Ideas? I have the latest edition of chipsounds installed.

Thanks.

It seems to work fine when I am using it inside of Maschine but not as a standalone.

The wasapi driver that our app uses is sadly known to be imperfect for some drivers. We would need a copy of that device to sort it out, as we can't (with out limited budget) own all that exists, i would recommend to use ASIO.
