Complete Uninstall - Finale 2011

Postby LittleZeusMusic » Wed Sep 25, 2013 1:00 pm

Hi there,

I'm wondering how to completely uninstall the chipsounds demo from my Mac, 10.6.8. It's a great plug, but I don't need it now and all it is doing is interfering with other normal operation of my plugins, particularly while using Finale.

Whenever I first play a score in Finale, its sounds automatically load up. I constantly get error messages saying that Chipsounds is not active and its bank will not be saved—not once, not twice, but at least three times. Ok, fine. How do I get rid of that message? I deleted the plug but the message is still there! Where else is the plug living? I do notice that the Chipsounds bank is accessible through the Garritan Aria plugin…

Please help!

A complete uninstall on Mac is a little tricky. It involves editing "hidden" files and can break other ARIA products if not done correctly. This is why info on this subject not readily available online.

I'll send you a PM with all you need to know.
