Listen to this output....Is this normal?

Postby wrongwaycorrigan » Sat Feb 21, 2015 7:08 pm

Before purchasing a license, I want to confirm if this output is normal.

https://instaud.io/5qX
This clip demonstrates the following settings:

00:02
RP2A03 Pulse
Appreggiator/Wave Sequencer/Delay: Off
Pulse Width 50 %

00:11
SID 6581 Pulse
RP2A03 Pulse
Appreggiator/Wave Sequencer/Delay: Off
Pulse Width 50 %

I have other VST plugins that emulate synth chips which produce expected results.

When following videos or using presets, the audio output is generally the same. I have little/no control of the sound.

What am I missing here or is it not playing nice with my hardware? Just embedded Realtek audio for now. Thanks for any ideas.

There is definitely something not normal about this, and it draws more questions than answers!

For your example, have you used the standalone or the plugin?
What are you soundcard's drivers and settings? (See Tools -> Preferences menu if in standalone)

If not already installed, I recommend using ASIO4ALL http://www.asio4all.com/ which offers better behaved drivers than the standard MME /DirectSound that come in the box with your computer.

We'll clear this up! :)

ASIO drivers cleared it up! Just picked up the full version tonight. Thanks for the tip!
