We got our name!

Postby davidv » Thu May 31, 2012 10:44 am

Hi

This is the first time we disclose the name of the product previously known as 'the dac emulator with noise and speaker impulses'
http://www.plogue.com/namm-2011-teaser- ... om-plogue/

As we are getting nearer to release we will post a few details each week.

First detail:

chipsounds and chipcrusher are very related and will work together in a unique way.

I can't be the only one really excited about this, can I?

Probably the best thing I've ever recorded was a casio keyboard that randomly malfunctioned to buzz perfectly out of the speaker in time to the music. If this lets me play around with that sort of thing in a controlled way (for a while I could recreate the noise by tipping the keyboard but it stopped doing that after a while) it'll be amazing. Especially combined with chipsounds. Any more previews?

Ahaha, now that would be hard to emulate given it seems like intermittent data connection problems. Mine does funny boot noises once in a while, I guess I could sample that.

Previews will come as they come....

The Casio SK-1 was the circuit bending poster child. Will there be virtual circuit bends available in chipcrusher?

Thanks for making cool stuff!

That would really raise the price of the product due to the development involved. We want this to be a relatively simple
FX insert.

In the future, who knows!

Hi David,
Exciting news! Put me down as a beta tester, too!
Cheers,
Scott
