volume problem

Postby willard_landreth » Mon Jan 02, 2017 8:24 pm

I have proteus 2 instruments I'd like to use in Aria player. After loading them in SFZ and converting them to aria extensions the volume is almost nonexistent. I can barely -54 db to register in Sonar. Other sfz files appear to not be affected by this for example Sonatina Orchestra. I have tried adjusting the both the vol cc7 and send cc91. They affect other files but not the Proteus. Oddly, files from the Proteus Composer seem to be unaffected except the individual instrument appears as 'empty' in the instrument slot and the keyboard remains blank. The Proteus files (all of them) will play in SFZ+ but I'd rather not

Any solution?

Hi Willard,

Would you mind sending me one file either by pasting it here or through private message?
Did those came from Digital Sound Factory?

Thanks for the reply.

Do you want the text part of the file, or the wav file too?

Pretty much what we thought it might be :)
fil_type=lpf_2p
cutoff=16.352
resonance=0.5

The filter cutoff is set at 16Hz. 16.352 to be exact That doesn't let much to be heard.
There's something that got lost in the conversion somehow. Just removing that dot between 16 and 352 should solve your issue.

Tell us how it goes.
