What is Offline Mode?

Postby CinningBao » Wed Jul 12, 2017 7:14 pm

My nerdy buddy and I are looking at doing some weird AI stuff and bidule and I think the ideal would be that Bidule can receive OSC in offline mode, and maybe a few other things as well.. and I just wonder, because there isn't much information about it ;)

What you use it for, and how you do it?

As far as I know there are 2 main use for offline mode:

1- render faster than realtime for processing audio files
2- render something that can't run in realtime

I don't recall blocking OSC when in offline but given the way the render process work, timing will suck when/if
messages go through.

Ok, thanks for that Seb. It seems I need to do some testing :) All good!

I'm looking to trigger things and modulate parameters from OSC, so I guess I'll need to experiment it a bit..
I'll post things back here..
