how concerned should i be about getting this message on occasion? what, aside from the obvious, does it mean, and how does it impact incoming/outgoing midi signals?

The message is displayed whenever the time to process a single buffer is longer than the allotted time.
(i.e. with a sample rate of 44.1kHz and a buffer size of 256 it means that each buffer has ~5.805 ms to process)

It's quite possible that there are false positives, the main idea when I added this was to help pinpoint potential spikes in processing
that would get drowned out in the averaging function of the dsp% calculation to help with the "I'm getting glitches sometimes but the dsp%
is low".
