Bidule hosting mcdsp native v5

Postby ivoryslammer » Wed Sep 20, 2017 11:27 pm

Hey all! I don't own Bidule, but plan on downloading the demo as soon as Irma gives back my wifi. :D I have a very specific need that I wonder if Bidule can help me with.

I recently bought an old license for mcdsp's chrome tone (native V5), and I'm hoping to incorporate it into my PT11 workflow. There is no AAX version, only RTAS, TDM and AU. However, the only DAW I can get to see it is PT10, not Logic X or Ableton Live. Anyways, do you guys have any idea if Bidule would be able to see/host an AU that may not be supported by the latest version of Logic and/or OS X? I'm very green here

Many thanks!!

P. S. I'm running on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite.

Is it possible that it is 32-bit only? That would explain why it shows up in PT10 and nowhere else.

In any case, the only possible connection between Bidule and Pro Tools is ReWire and this doesn't send audio from the Mixer app (PT) to the Device app(Bidule). Even if sending audio was possible, it would require you to use Bidule in 32-bit to be able to load Chrome Tone.
