Canvas 'ghost' mode

Postby nkurence » Fri Mar 31, 2017 5:15 pm

Hi,

My idea is to add a toggle that gives the Bidule canvas a bit of transparency, and in this mode allow a modified click over a non-foreground Bidule window to bring it to front.

The goal is to minimize the amount of time spent actively managing open windows and to give persistent visibility to some 'always open' widows I use (analyzers, monitors, sequencers etc.) while maximizing patching space.

I made a couple quick screens to illustrate the idea.
In this example the canvas is alpha=90% (ideal for me) but it could be a variable setting.

Yeah some way to rotate through windows (like window's OS alt tab) bringing open dialogs to the front would be very helpful (if a slightly different FR than the OP).

+1 here. When I'm troubleshooting (which I tend to be doing a lot lately, lol) I need to set up midi & audio monitor windows, so I'm having to spend quite a bit of time re-sizing and arranging windows to be able to see everything going on.
